Answers to Dan Corner’s
Bible Questions About Eternal Security
By Curtis B. Miller

The following are questions found in Dan Corner’s book, The Believer’s Conditional Security (which can also be read in his pamphlet, Bible Questions about Eternal Security). His book contains 114 questions while his website, Evangelical Outreach.com, has 233. To make it clear that Dan Corner is wrong to teach that a born again child of God can lose his place in the body of Christ after being placed into it (1 Cor 12:13) and that the seal of the Holy Spirit is not tight enough to contain the believers salvation, I have chosen to answer all 233.

In answering questions such as these one must consider the following:

1. Who is writing?
2. Who is he writing to?
3. What is the context in which he is writing (That is, “What is the writer talking about?”)?
4. Men in the Old Testament were never sealed with the Holy Ghost nor were their sins cleared although they were forgiven (Ex. 34:7; 1 Sam 16:14; Ps 51:11; John 7:39; Ezek 3:19-21). They WERE NOT SAVED the same way a man in the Church Age is saved (Rom. 10:9-10; Eph 1:13; 4:30). (For more information on Dispensational Salvation go to our Dispensations Chart.)
While answering Mr. Corner’s questions the first thing I noticed was his “tunnel vision.” That is, in most cases, neither one of his options for answers given WAS the answer for the question. This is why many of the 233 answers are more than “Yes,” “No,” “True,” or “False.” Another repeated error of Mr. Corner was leading the reader to believe the Scriptures said something they didn’t, supposing the reader would not pick up his deceitfulness.

As you go through these questions remember what Paul said,

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15).

1. Are the Holy Scriptures or the majority of popular teachers who hold to a particular doctrine the deciding factor that makes that doctrine correct (2 Tim. 3:16,17)? ___The Holy Scriptures ___Majority of popular teachers

The Holy Scriptures

2. Are the notes in a study Bible inspired, like the actual Scriptures, or can these notes reflect the erroneous views of the commentator(s)? ___The notes are inspired ___The notes can be wrong
Are the notes in this pamphlet inspired or are they the erroneous views of the commentator?

3. Are religious creeds and confessions man-made and, therefore, possibly in error? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

4. If a creed, confession, synod, etc. is contradicted by Scripture should we immediately reject it? ___Yes ___No
Yes. We should reject the part of the creed that contradicts scripture.

5. According to Psa. 119:99,100, does Scriptural insight and understanding come from having an earned doctorate degree in theology or by meditating in the Scriptures and obeying its precepts? ___Having an earned doctorate degree ___Meditating in Scripture and obeying its precepts

Meditating.

6. Since many with an earned doctorate degree contradict each other and themselves, doesn't this further prove spiritual understanding doesn't come that way? ___Yes ___No
Yes. Just because you have a degree or write a book it doesn’t mean you know the Bible.

7. The Bereans were commended for being teachable and willing to change, according to Scripture (Acts 17:11,12). ___True ___False
True.

8. Dear reader, are you teachable like the Bereans? ___Yes ___No
Yes. Dear writer, can you teach?

9. If you were wrong about any teaching of the Bible, including the believer's security, would you change? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

(See Lk. 15:11-32 for #10 - #20)

10. Was the Prodigal Son dead and lost when he was sexually immoral (Lk. 15:24,32 cf. v. 30)? ___Yes ___No
N/A The Scriptures never specify when he became “dead” and “lost.” Was it because of riotous living or the change of heart before he left? Or was the Father simply speaking of his fellowship with the son as being “dead and lost”? What you must remember when reading the parables of Christ is that Christ takes circumstances that men can relate to and teaches a spiritual lesson from them (As any good teacher would do.). Taking the parable as literal as possible one must assume that the death the Father is speaking of is that of his fellowship with the son. The death obviously is not physical and nowhere in the parable is it ever hinted to be spiritual (For how could the son regain his spiritual life simply by coming back to his physical father. If the father in the parable is physical and the son in the parable is physical then the death could not be spiritual. What Mr. Corner tries to do is mix spiritual directly into the parable before giving the spiritual application). Christ, making spiritual application, uses the Prodigal son as a type of Israel who has wondered from God and the father as a type of God the Father. The lesson of the parable could not be that of a born again child of God for the Prodigal could not have been born again (for Christ had not yet shed his blood).

Nevertheless, this parable makes great preaching when speaking to a lost man or backslidden Christian.

11. Was that death physical? ___Yes ___No
No.

12. Can the death the Prodigal experienced be only spiritual death, since it came through sexual sin and is equated with being lost? See also Rom. 8:13. ___Yes, it can only be spiritual death ___No, it doesn't have to be spiritual death
See answer #10.

13. Is it implied that the Prodigal was first spiritually alive before he became spiritually dead and lost through sin by the word again (Lk. 15:24,32)? ___Yes ___No
No.

14. Did anyone or anything pluck him out of the Father's hand as promised in Jn. 10:28? ___Yes ___No
It never says he was “plucked.”

15. Did the Father's love, faithfulness or keeping power override the consequences of the Prodigal's sinful behavior? ___Yes ___No
No.

16. Did the Father let him, of his own free will, walk out on him which led to his dead and lost condition? ___Yes ___No
Your view of this parable is distorted. The Bible never specifies what “dead and lost” is or when the son became “dead and lost.”

17. Is the promise of not being snatched out of Jesus' hand (Jn. 10:28) in reference only to those who are following Jesus, verse 27? ___Yes ___No
No. It simply says his sheep follow him. The plucking is not conditioned by ANYTHING in the passage. Following would be considered a THING.

18. Though the Prodigal Son was sealed as a son, did that mean he was always saved, even when he was in sexual immorality? (See also 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; 22:15.) ___Yes ___No
Was the Prodigal Son ever NOT his son even when he was in riotous living (Notice that he refers the reader to 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 without considering in verse 11.)?

19. Does the Bible say Christians are sealed unto the day of redemption or saved unto the day of redemption (Eph. 4:30)? ___Sealed unto the day ___Saved unto the day
The Bible says “sealed.” Does the inquirer know what the day of redemption is and/or what being “sealed” means?

20. Can being sealed unto the day of redemption be an absolute guarantee of entering the kingdom of God in light of the Prodigal Son, Demas, Judas and others who were once saved? ___Yes ___No
Yes. The Prodigal Son was not said to be sealed or saved. Judas was not said to be sealed (John 7:39) (although he was said to be a devil: John 6:70). Demas would definitely be sealed in the New Testament sense and we are never told he lost his salvation.

21. In regards to Heb. 13:5, did the Father leave or forsake the Prodigal or did the Prodigal leave and forsake the Father to his own harm? ___the Father left ___the Prodigal left
The Prodigal Son left and forsook the father. But God the Father still abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself (2 Tim 2:13).

22. If we reject God will he likewise reject us (Deut. 32:15 cf. v. 19)? ___Yes ___No
No. Are we under the Law or grace: The blood of bulls and goats or the blood of Christ? He will not reject us because of what Paul says in 2 Timothy 2:13.

23. We show we reject God by not living holy lives (1 Thess. 4:7,8). ___True ___False

Not according to 1 Thess 4:7-8.

24. "... The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you," 2 Chron. 15:2. What condition must we meet for God to forsake us?
See answer for 22.

25. The phrases "once saved always saved" (OSAS), "once in grace always in grace" or "once a son always a son" are not actual quotes found anywhere in the entire Bible. ___True ___False
True. Are “Bible,” “Rapture,” or “Lose your salvation” actually quoted anywhere in the entire Bible?

26. According to 1 Cor. 6:9,10 and Rev. 21:8, are all drunkards, all the sexually immoral, all greedy and all liars categorically unsaved, regardless who they are with no exceptions? ___Yes ___No
The list is fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, effeminate, abusers of themselves with mankind, the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars. The question is; is a born again child of God considered one of those things? No. This is why Mr. Corner doesn’t mention 1 Cor 6:11. After going through the list of verses 9-10 Paul says, “Such WERE some of you, BUT ye ARE washed, but ye ARE sanctified, but ye ARE justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” (See also Galatians 5:16-21)

27. Are all homosexuals unsaved, according to 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rom. 1:27; Gen. 19:4,5 cf. Jude 7 and Lev. 20:13? ___Yes ___No
Not necessarily.

28. By simple definition, is a person sexually immoral if he/she is presently sexually immoral, regardless of a past commitment to the Lord Jesus? ___Yes ___No
To what is the question referring doctrinally or practically? Practically a man is a liar if he speaks one lie and is a fornicator if he fornicates one time. Doctrinally, a born again believer, though he speaks lies is not a “liar” and though he sins, he is not a “sinner” (1 John 3:9; Rom 6:2; 6:11).

29. Is the implication that a sexually immoral person could possibly be a Christian a ramification of OSAS? ___Yes ___No
Yes. I wonder if Mr. Corner has every lusted after a woman (Matt 5:28).

30. Is such an implication unscriptural (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8)? ___Yes ___No
No.

31. If OSAS was true, there would be saved sexually immoral people and unsaved sexually immoral people. In contrast, the Bible only mentions the sexually immoral and states that such a person is wicked, won't inherit the kingdom of God and will, therefore, be thrown into the lake of fire (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Gal. 5:19-21; 1 Thess. 4:7,8; Rev. 21:8). ___True ___False
Refer to #28.

(See Lk. 8:5-15 and Mt. 13:3-23 for #32 - #37)

32. According to Jesus, do some people believe for a while then cease believing (Lk. 8:13)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

33. Is the falling away, which these same people experience in this parable, equated to the plant dying? ___Yes ___No
What Christ says is they bring forth no fruit, not die or lose their salvation. If Mr. Corner wants to consider in the plant dying he must admit that even the plant in the good ground will eventually die. According to Mr. Corner’s logic, all Christians will eventually lose their salvation. This, obviously, is ridiculous. When reading parables one must always stick to the interpretation Christ gives.

Where does Christ say anything about “falling away” in this parable?

34. Did their initial belief (or faith) produce life? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

35. Was this life spiritual, since it was produced by the word of God and came as a result of their own personal faith? ___Yes ___No
Nice wording. Yes.

36. Was it persecution over the word of God which caused this type of person, who was previously saved, to fall away or die? ___Yes ___No
Who fell away? Who died?

37. Is persecution a test that will cause some true Christians to apostatize or die spiritually? ___Yes ___No
Ditto #36.

38. According to the Bible, what makes us strong (Acts 20:32)? ___Persecution ___Word of God
The Bible says build up. Answer: the word of his grace.

39. When Saul of Tarsus was persecuting the church, was the church being destroyed or built up by that persecution (Acts 8:3)? ___Destroyed ___Built up
The havoc that Paul made in the church was in reference to him persecuting, not literal destruction.

40. Did Jesus say many will turn away from the Christian faith at the end of the age because of persecution (Mt. 24:9,10)? ___Yes ___No
No. Not this Age.

41. Does the standing firm to the end, as mentioned in Mt. 10:22, refer to disciples of Christ remaining faithful to Jesus during persecution, without disowning him? ___Yes ___No
Sure.

Jesus

43. Did Jesus say enduring to the end was necessary for salvation or for getting some reward, position in the kingdom, or fellowship with God? ___For salvation ___For reward, position, fellowship
Salvation

44. Could Jesus have been kidding, joking, or exaggerating regarding our need to endure to the end for salvation's sake? ___Yes ___No
No. Could Jesus have been speaking about a group of people who live in the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer 30:7) otherwise known as “the great tribulation” (Matt 24:21; Rev 2:22; Rev 7:14)?

45. Do you believe what Jesus taught in this verse? ___Yes ___No
More than you do, Mr. Corner.

(See 2 Pet. 2:20-22 for #46 - #53)

Note: This passage should be read considering a dog and a sow (2 Pet 2:22) are types of unsaved Gentiles.

46. Did the people Peter wrote of escape the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? ___Yes ___No
The Bible says they “escaped the pollutions.”

47. Did they know the way of righteousness before they were entangled in sin for the second time? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

48. According to Mt. 21:32 is Jesus the way of righteousness, as implied by Mt. 3:11 cf. Jn. 1:29-34? ___Yes ___No
According to the Scripture given, no.

49. Did they turn their backs on the sacred command? ___Yes ___No
They turned from the holy commandment.

50. Were these people at one time washed when they knew the way of righteousness and escaped the corruption of the world by knowing Jesus Christ? ___Yes ___No
It doesn’t say they were washed in the blood of Christ.

51. At salvation are we washed in Jesus' blood (1 Cor. 6:11; Rev. 7:14)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

52. Could the people Peter wrote of have been washed in anything other than Jesus' blood? ___Yes ___No
Refer to comment before this series of Questions.

53. Did the same people leave the straight way (2 Pet. 2:15), also called in verse 21 the way of righteousness? ___Yes ___No
In 2:15 it says “the right way.”

54. Is it possible to lose (KJV) or forfeit (NIV) your soul, according to Jesus (Mk. 8:36)? ___Yes ___No
Yes. It is possible to LOSE your own soul, unless you are saved (2 Tim 1:12).

55. Are disciples of Christ likened unto salt that can lose its saltiness to the point that it is no longer good for anything (Lk. 14:33-35)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

56. Is it possible for a real Christian to believe in vain (1 Cor. 15:2)? ___Yes ___No
Paul here is speaking of what he has preached: the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He then goes on to say, “Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead” (1 Cor 15:12)? Obviously there are some “among” them (Not necessarily Christians) who say there is no resurrection. Paul then says, “But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain” (1 Cor 15:13-14). A person only believes in vain IF Christ is not risen from the dead (See also verses 15-20).

57. Does the true gospel of grace teach a Christian can believe in vain? ___Yes ___No
Ditto #56.

58. How can a Christian believe in vain (1 Cor. 15:1,2)?
Ditto #56.

59. Do we have to hold firmly to Paul's message to be saved and not believe in vain (1 Cor. 15:2)? ___Yes ___No
Ditto #56.

60. Did Jesus teach sin could always keep a person from entering the kingdom (Mt. 13:41,42; Mk. 9:43-48; Jn. 5:29; Rev. 2:10,11; 3:16)? ___Yes ___No
No.

61. In the aforementioned passages, did the Lord limit sin that would prevent our entrance into the kingdom to unbelief? ___Yes ___No
No.

62. Did the Lord Jesus teach, "... anyone who says, you fool' will be in danger of the fire of hell" (Mt. 5:22)? ___Yes ___No
Was Christ in danger of hell fire (Luke 24:25)? How about Paul (1 Cor 15:36; Gal 3:1-3)? Explain that one, Mr. Corner.

63. If OSAS was true, could Jesus teach this truth to all, including those already saved? ___Yes ___No
He was not teaching to “all.” Christ was preaching on the Kingdom of Heaven, which is not yet, but will be at the 2nd coming. The Church age is not the millennial reign of Christ.

64. Did Paul repeatedly warn true Christians that certain sinful activities would cause them to "not inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Gal. 5:19-21; 6:8; Eph. 5:5-7)? ___Yes ___No
What does he mean by “TRUE CHRISTIANS”? But Yes, they who do such things shall not INHERIT the kingdom of God.

65. Is sin, therefore, still an issue under the grace of the New Covenant? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

66. When Paul taught Gal. 5:19-21 did he know that "neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation" could separate the Galatian Christians from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, as stated in Rom. 8:38,39? ___Yes, he knew that ___No, he didn't know that
Yes.

67. Is it, therefore, possible that he understood Rom. 8:38,39 to mean a Christian is unconditionally and eternally secure in the light of Gal. 5:19-21? ___Yes ___No, because he would not contradict himself
Yes. He meant a Christian is UNCONDITIONALLY and ETERNALLY SECURE in Jesus Christ especially in light of Galatians 5:19-21.

68. Was Paul a grace teacher in the truest sense ___Yes ___No
He was a saved by grace teacher. Yes.

69. Did Paul fight against legalism (Gal. 5:2-4)? ___Yes ___No
No.

70. Could such a warning as issued in Gal. 5:21 be legalistic if it was similarly spoken directly to real Christians today? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

71. Was Paul contradicting his freedom in Christ message by teaching Gal. 5:19-21? ___Yes ___No
No.

72. Peter wrote, "Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God" (1 Pet. 2:16). Under the Apostle Peter's freedom message, could he be allowing for an occasional act of getting drunk or being sexually immoral, as some OSAS proponents say is permissible? ___Yes ___No
1Pe 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

Galatians 5:13 and 1 Peter 2:16 are great verses for eternal security. For they say it IS possible to abuse your liberty. But, No.

73. Does it follow then, if someone teaches a freedom or liberty message that allows for an occasional getting drunk or act of sexual immorality, that he is teaching falsely and should be openly refuted? ___Yes ___No
If a man says you will go without punishment for sin and it is acceptable to sin, then, yes.

74. Does the true Biblical grace or liberty message mean: You believe on Christ, then go do whatever you want? ___Yes ___No
No. It means that you are saved by the grace of God apart from your own righteousness and good works. It means that even though you sin, even willfully, you are still saved.

75. Are God's commands burdensome (1 Jn. 5:3)? ___Yes ___No
No.

76. "Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, each of them will turn from his wicked way; then I will forgive their wickedness and their sin" (Jer. 36:3, NIV). Does a warning of judgment, according to this verse, aid a person to turn from evil? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

77. Would the people of Judah have been at a disadvantage if they didn't hear the aforementioned warning? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

78. Similarly, was it advantageous for Christians to hear Paul's repeated warning of the possibility of them still "not inheriting the kingdom of God," as cited in Gal. 5:19-21? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

79. Did Paul seem concerned that he might discourage any Christian, even the new converts, to the point where they might give up by this type of repeated warning? ___Yes ___No
No.

80. Should all true grace teachers be issuing this same type of warning today? ___Yes ___No
Yes. I remind you, inheritance is not salvation, but is gained and lost after salvation.

81. Have you ever heard an OSAS teacher issue the same type of warning to Christians, as stated in Gal. 5:21, which Paul repeatedly gave? ___Yes ___No
At least 50 times in the past year.

82. Is it an impossibility for them to do so? ___Yes ___No
No.

83. Doesn't that prove that Paul's teaching about grace, sin and the like is different than the OSAS message, since they can't possibly warn as Paul did in Gal. 5:19-21? ___Yes ___No
You didn’t prove anything except you don’t know the difference between inheritance and salvation.

84. Though a warning is alarming when we first hear it, it is always advantageous to be warned, because it alerts us to a real danger. Regarding this advantage, aren't all people who listen to OSAS teaching at a major spiritual disadvantage, for this type of warning of not inheriting the kingdom of God will never be issued to a Christian and will even be flatly denied? ___Yes ___No
Read answer #83.

85. The Apostle Paul wrote, "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe," Rom. 3:22. The Greek reveals that the word believe used here is a continuous tense. If one does not continue in this belief, would he then meet this God-given condition for final salvation? ___Yes ___No
2 Timothy 2:13, “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” The Answer is No. The verse does not imply that at all, even with the Greek. Paul is talking to people who do believe and includes himself. John 5:24 says the believer “hath” (present tense) eternal life. If you have something that is eternal can you lose it?

86. Did Paul believe that a true Christian could fall away from grace (Gal. 5:4)? ___Yes ___No
Well, Mr. Corner, do you mean falling as in loss of Salvation or as Paul said “fallen from grace” because the men who he was referring to have put themselves under the Law? The Law and grace cannot mix (Rom 6:14; Gal 2:21). Paul says they have “fallen from grace” in the sense that they are counting on their own righteousness and not the righteousness of Christ alone.

87. Is falling away from grace equated with Christ being of no value at all to the person previously saved (Gal. 5:2)? ____Yes ___No
Refer to #86.

88. Could such a person still be saved if Christ is of no value to him? ___Yes ___No
Refer to #86

89. Did Paul believe we could lose our salvation by accepting a wrong salvation message, that is, a wrong message about justification (Gal. 5:2-4)? ___Yes ___No
No.

90. Is it logical for the OSAS proponent to accuse the other side of teaching a works salvation, since Paul, the grace teacher, obviously taught in opposition to their view (Rom. 2:7; 8:13; 11:19-23; 1 Cor. 6:9,10; 15:2; Gal. 5:2-4; 5:19-21; 6:8,9; 1 Tim. 3:6; etc.)? ___Yes ___No
None of the verses mentioned here go against eternal salvation AT ALL! I already pointed out his error concerning 1 Cor 15:2 (#56) and Gal 5:2-4 (#86).

Galatians 6:8-9 is self explanatory; the Bible says if you sow in your FLESH you will reap in your FLESH; not in your spirit.

Romans 8:13 “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Does it get much clearer than this? If you live after your flesh you will die (physically) and if you control your flesh (body-physical) you will live.

Romans 2:7-9 is in reference to how God deals with Gentiles (Not Christians).

Romans 2:11:19-23 is speaking of a Jew being condemned by the law.

Gal 5:19-21; 1 Cor 6:9-10 is on inheritance, not salvation.

1 Tim 3:6 is not in reference to salvation.

91. Did the Apostle John teach that believing certain false doctrine could cause the Christian not to remain in Christ (1 Jn. 2:24; 2 Jn. 9)? ___Yes ___No
No. The context of chapter 2 is dealing with assurance of Salvation (Notice 2:3,5,6, 9-10; 2:14: “Ye have overcome…”; etc.) and being able to distinguish those that love the world (2:15) (those who wouldn’t continue with the true believers (2:19)) from the faithful believers (2:21). When reading 2:24, one must interpret it considering the context just as with 1 Corinthians 15:2. John is discussing how to distinguish between those who mean business with God with the fakes, just as those in 1 John 2:18-22.

Concerning 2 John 9 I would ask the questioner if he knows what the doctrine of Christ is?

92. Will raging fire consume the enemies of God (Heb. 10:27)? ___Yes ___No
The Bible says, “But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”

93. Were Christians God's enemies before they were saved (Rom. 5:10)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

94. Is it possible for a Christian to "become an enemy of God" again (Jam. 4:4)? ___Yes ___No
No. Not concerning salvation (Context is prayer).

95. In light of Jam. 4:4, Heb. 10:27 and Rom. 5:10, could the Holy Spirit inspired writers of the Bible have believed in OSAS? ___Yes ___No
Absolutely.

96. Who were Hymenaeus and Philetus (2 Tim. 2:17,18)? _____________________________________________
Two that erred in doctrine.

97. Were they destroying the faith of some Christians by their teaching (2 Tim. 2:17,18)? ___Yes ___No
Probably.

98. Can certain false doctrine destroy a saving faith? ___Yes ___No
Destroying faith is not destroying the new birth.

99. Did Paul hesitate to cite the names of false teachers (2 Tim. 2:17,18)? ___Yes ___No
No.

100. Did Hymenaeus and Alexander shipwreck their own faith (1 Tim. 1:19,20)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

101. What did Paul tell Timothy to hold to so he wouldn't likewise shipwreck his faith (1 Tim. 1:19,20)? (1) __________________ (2) ________________
Faith and a good conscience.

102. Since Timothy was truly saved, then did Paul believe a Christian could shipwreck his faith? ___Yes ___No
Does shipwreck mean lose? I can make a wreck of my life but does that mean I’ve lost it?

103. Paul was in a shipwreck on his way to Rome (Acts 27:27-44). The ship he was in was broken to pieces (vv. 41,44). The implication is, that ship was beyond recovery. Paul used this same kind of description to describe what could possibly happen to the faith of a real Christian like Timothy's. ___True ___False
Refer to #102

104. Did Paul teach that Hymenaeus and Alexander were apparently never really saved to begin with, since they shipwrecked their faith? ___Yes ___No
No.

105. According to 1 Tim. 1:19,20, is it Scriptural or unscriptural to do so? ___Scriptural ___Unscriptural
It doesn’t say.

(Note to reader concerning questions #106-#109, the book of James was written “to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad” who will be scattered and regathered in the tribulation period (Is 11:12; 43:5; Jer 23:3; Luke 21:21; Matt 24:15-16; etc.) Although the book of James can be applied spiritually to the Church age Believer, one must be careful to apply the whole book doctrinally. If anything in the book of James contradicts the Pauline epistles it’s obviously not doctrinally meant for the Church Age.)

106. Does Jam. 5:19,20 teach a Christian can wander from the truth? ___Yes ___No
See #105.

107. Is it possible for a Christian brother to become a sinner by wandering from the truth (Jam. 5:19,20)? ___Yes ___No
See #105.

108. Can that person return to God and get his sins forgiven? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

109. Will that act of repentance save his soul from death (Jam. 5:19,20, KJV)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

110. Did Paul personally know of some younger Christian widows who turned from their dedication to Jesus and started to follow Satan (1 Tim. 5:11-15)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

111. Do you think if some present-day OSAS proponents would have observed these same younger, Christian widows that Paul referred to, they would have, unlike Paul, concluded that those women were never really saved to begin with? ___Yes ___No
Sure.

112. Did Paul personally know of some Christians who were eager for money and consequently wandered from the Christian faith (1 Tim. 6:10)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

113. Did Paul contradict his own grace message when he stated the possibility of a young convert falling through the sin of pride into the same condemnation as the devil (1 Tim. 3:6)? ___Yes ___No
Paul didn’t teach he would fall into “the same” condemnation as the devil. The condemnation of the devil (Matt 25:41) is the same condemnation as the world (Rev. 20:10). Paul said the born again child of God will not be condemned with the world (1 Cor 11:31-32). The “condemnation of the devil” is in reference to a man being turned over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh just as stated in 1 Cor 5:5.

114. Is it possible that such a recent convert or candidate for overseer would then be unsaved? ___Yes ___No
No.

115. Is the devil's condemnation in the lake of fire (Rev. 20:10)? ___Yes ___No
Yes (See #113).

116. Could Paul have taught OSAS based on the possibility of a recent convert going to the lake of fire? ___Yes ___No
No.

117. Did Paul believe the seal of the Holy Spirit would prevent such a new convert, as mentioned in 1 Tim. 3:6, from falling under the same condemnation as the devil? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

118. Did Paul believe that God's sovereignty, love, faithfulness or keeping power for that convert would prevent him from falling under the same condemnation as the devil? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

119. Did Paul believe Jesus' intercession, as mentioned in Heb. 7:25, would prevent the recent convert from falling under the condemnation of the devil? ___Yes ___No
Paul believed that a born-again believer is secure in Jesus Christ.

120. Did Paul believe that because that new convert was one of the elect, he could not possibly fall under the condemnation of the devil? ___Yes ___No
Give it up.

121. Did Jesus teach that fruitless Christians are in danger of being "thrown into the fire and burned" (Jn. 15:1-6)? ___Yes ___No
No. Verse 6 says “If a man abide not in me…” A Christian abides in Christ.

122. Could the subjects of verse 6 be only Christians, since they were clean (v. 3), which is the same term used in Jn. 13:10 for forgiven? ___Yes ___No
This question is meaningless, based on the answer of #121.

123. Did Jesus teach that lukewarm Christians are in danger of being expelled from the body of Christ (Rev. 3:15,16)? ___Yes ___No
No. In the passage he was speaking to a church; not an individual. The church was lukewarm and Christ wasn’t going to use it.

124. Did Jesus teach that we must be faithful "to the point of death" to receive the crown of life and not get hurt by the second death (Rev. 2:10)? ___Yes ___No
No. He was not talking to ME.

125. Is the second death the same thing as the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

126. Therefore, must a Christian be faithful till the point of death to escape the lake of fire? ___Yes ___No
No.

127. All who inherit the kingdom of God receive the crown of life. We know this since the crown of life is promised to those who truly love God (Jam. 1:12) and those who truly love God will inherit the kingdom of God (Jam. 2:5). The crown of life is, therefore, not something that only some Christians will receive, as taught by the OSAS teachers. ___True ___False
Who is James writing to; Possibly the same group of people being spoken to in Revelation?

128. Since we must be faithful to death to get the crown of life, then we must also be faithful to death to be an overcomer and inherit the kingdom of God. ___True ___False
The born-again believer has already overcome (1 John 4:4; 5:4).

129. Did the Lord Jesus teach that unforgiveness in the heart of a Christian can negate his own forgiveness from God (Mt. 18:21-35)? ___Yes ___No
Mr. Corner is trying to make the Bible consistently speak to Christians even though in Matt 6:14-15; 18:21-35 there are no “born again Christians” present. Christ is speaking to a group of pork abstaining, Sabbath observing, circumcised Jews who are awaiting a physical Kingdom with the Messiah as their King.

130. Should we discount this teaching from Jesus on the basis that it was given before the cross? ___Yes ___No
No. It can be applied spiritually to a New Testament Christian, but not literally since Paul says to born again, New Testament, blood washed, Christians, “forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”

131. Did Jesus teach, "You must be born again" before he went to the cross (Jn. 3:7)? ___Yes ___No
And it was also taught to New Testament Christians after the resurrection of Christ (1 Peter 1:23; 1 John 3:9; 5:1,4,18).

132. Did Jesus teach if we are ashamed of him, he'll likewise be ashamed of us (Lk. 9:26)? ___Yes ___No
He said, “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.”

133. Did Jesus teach if we disown him before men, he'll likewise disown us before the Father (Mt. 10:33, NIV) and the angels (Lk. 12:9, NIV)? ___Yes ___No
Considering in 2 Timothy 2:10-13, the born-again, Church age Christian is denied rewards.

134. How can one still be saved, if Jesus disowns him/her? _____________________________________________.
Christ cannot “disown” his own body (1 Cor 12:12-13, 27; 2 Tim 2:13).

135. Would it be possible for Jesus to disown us if we were never owned by him first through salvation? ___Yes ___No
No.

136. Can true Christians disown Christ (Mt. 26:34; Jn. 18:25,27)? ___Yes ___No
In Matthew 26 and John 18 was Peter born again?

137. Did Peter do this three times? ___Yes ___No
Yes. Peter denied Christ 3 times.

138. While some OSAS proponents in our day would say if you ever disown Christ, you thereby prove you were never really saved to begin with, doesn't what happened to Peter clearly refute this? ___Yes ___No
See #136.

139. Did Jesus give that threat/warning of disowning his disciples in Mt. 10:33 if they would disown him for some hidden reason, or because it was a real danger that could befall even the truly saved? ___Hidden reason ___Real danger for the truly saved
Did Jesus say this to saved, born again Christians and does this contradict the teachings of Paul?

140. Did Paul also teach the same truth to others as Jesus did in Mt. 10:33 (2 Tim. 2:12)? ___Yes ___No
Already covered that.

141. The if used in 2 Tim. 2:12 shows a real possibility of such occurring. ___True ___False
Verse 12 is obviously in reference to inheritance (“reign”). Again, Mr. Corner needs to read the next verse.

142. Is God faithful to his threats and warnings (2 Tim. 2:13)? ___Yes ___No
2Ti 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. God is faithful in not denying the born again Christian, who is a member of his body (1 Cor 12:12), salvation.

143. Could Paul have been teaching legalism or bondage or an unwarranted fear in 2 Tim. 2:11-13? ___Yes ___No
No.

144. Did Paul know Jesus gave Mt. 10:33 before the cross? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

145. Did Paul want Christians to be afraid regarding their spiritual relationship with God (Rom. 11:20,21)? ___Yes ___No
No. Paul is not speaking to Christians here, but rather Gentiles-as a whole (Rom 11:13,25 with Col 3:11).

146. Could he have been trying to create an unwarranted fear in them? ___Yes ___No
In the Gentiles: No.

147. Is one either in this healthy fear or in a dangerous arrogance regarding their security (Rom. 11:20-23)? ___Yes ___No
What?

148. In light of Rom. 11:20,21, did Paul, with his grace message, dangerously over-emphasize the assurance doctrine as some are today? ___Yes ___No
No.

149. Does 1 Jn. 5:12,13 say we can know we will go to heaven after we die or we can know at this moment that we have a present-tense possession of eternal life if we are believing and have the Son? ___Know we will go to heaven ___Know at this moment we have a present-tense possession of eternal life if we are believing and have the Son
If a man has possession, at any time, of eternal life, how does he lose it? How can you lose “eternal life” when you have it?

150. For a Christian to reap eternal life must he sow to please the Spirit -- not his sinful nature -- and not give up (Gal. 6:8,9)? ___Yes ___No
Slow down there, buddy. Much assuming doth make thee mad!

151. Does sin separate us from God (Isa. 59:2)? ___Yes ___No
Isaiah is speaking to the NATION of Israel, not an individual.

152. Can sin separate the true Christian from God to the point where he dies spiritually and misses the kingdom of God (Rom. 8:13; Lk. 15:24,32; Gal. 5:19-21; 6:8)? ___Yes ___No
No. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39). I believe sin would be considered into “life,” “things present, “things to come,” and “any other creature.” Also see answers to #90.

Luke 15:24,32 (See answers to #10-#20)

153. Paul declared that if a Christian lives according to the sinful nature he will definitely die (Rom. 8:13). Can this death be physical death, which would imply that if we would not live according to the sinful nature we would not die physically? ___Yes, it's physical death ___No, it can't be physical death
It is referring to physical death. Previous verses are speaking of mortal bodies. Mr. Corner is playing a demented game. I would ask him if Colossians 3:3 is physical or spiritual and see what his answer is (“For ye are dead.”).

154. Must the die in Rom. 8:13 be spiritual death, as it is a direct result of sin and shows what happened to the Prodigal who died spiritually (Lk. 15:24,32)? ___Yes ___No
No.

155. Is it possible to die spiritually if you were never first alive spiritually? ___Yes ___No
You would already be dead.

Christians do have responsibility. Yes.

157. Can such a teaching regarding human responsibility be a violation to true grace? ___Yes ___No
No.

158. Did Jesus say we must obey his commands to remain in his love (Jn. 15:10)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

159. Heb. 5:9 reads, "... he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him." Eternal salvation is given to those who obey God. ___True ___False
Obeying, according to Romans 16:25-26; 10:15-16 is obedience to the Gospel (aka: Believing the Gospel.)

160. The unbelieving are not the only ones who will end up in the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8). ___True ___False
True.

161. The Bible ends with a warning to Christians, that their share in the holy city (New Jerusalem) can potentially be removed (Rev. 22:18,19). ___True ___False
Was this passage in reference to a born again child of God in the dispensation of the Grace of God?

162. If such were an impossibility, this warning would be false and, therefore, the Bible would contain a form of deception. ___True ___False
The Bible is very deceptive. It’s like a “two-edged sword” according to Heb 4:12. It can cut you both ways. This is why Paul said to “study” and to “rightly divide” this “sword of the Spirit” (Eph 6:17). How naïve would one be to think for a moment that the whole Bible is directed to him!

163. If Rev. 22:19 is a valid warning, then can OSAS be true? ___Yes ___No
It is absolutely true for the born again child of God.

164. If a Christian during the reign of the Antichrist yields to the heavy pressure of the time and receives the mark of the beast and worships his image, what will be his/her eternal future state (Rev. 14:9-12)? ______________________________________________________
The born again believer does not need to worry about receiving the mark of the beast; for he will be in glory before then. The Tribulation Saint DOES need to worry about the mark of the beast (Rev 13) and keeping the commandments of God (Rev 14:12).

165. Does this passage disprove OSAS? ___Yes ___No
It would if we listened to you.

166. If a Christian sows to please his sinful nature, will he reap destruction as opposed to eternal life (Gal. 6:8, NIV)? __Yes ___No
Mr. Corner leaves out too much of the verse. The Bible says, “For he that soweth to his flesh shall OF THE FLESH reap corruption.”

167. While eternal life, for a Christian, is a present possession (1 Jn. 5:12,13), is eternal life also a hope (Titus 3:7), yet to be reaped (Gal. 6:8,9) in the age to come (Mk. 10:30) for only those who persist in doing good (Rom. 2:7) and don't grow weary and give up (Gal. 6:9)? ___Yes ___No
No. (I’ve already commented on these verses in previous questions).

168. Must a real, Bible-defined Christian "hold firmly till the end" the confidence he had at first to share in Christ (Heb. 3:14)? ___Yes ___No
No. The born-again Church Age Christian in the Dispensation of the Grace of God has already been made partakers (Col 1:12; 2 Cor 1; Eph 3).

169. Do OSAS teachers openly declare this important truth? ___Yes ___No
You’ve displaced the truth.

170. Do Scriptures like Heb. 3:14 contradict the OSAS teaching? ___Yes ___No
Does Exodus 34:7 contradict the New Testament: “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”

171. Did Paul, the true grace teacher, write: "Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey -- whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?" (Rom. 6:16). ___Yes ___No
Mr. Corner, once again, needs to get his context straight and read the next two verses in a King James Bible.

172. Does true grace teaching promote holy living (Titus 2:11,12)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

173. On the other hand, can the false grace teaching promote immorality (Jude 4)? ___Yes ___No
Is the grace of God still the grace of God if men abuse it?

174. In your opinion, is holy living or immorality promoted by the OSAS teachings that go out across the United States? ___Holy living ___Immorality
Holy Living

175. In your opinion, is holy living or immorality promoted by the teaching that David's sins of adultery and murder did not negate his salvation? ___Holy living ___Immorality
The real question is, “DID David’s sins of adultery and murder negate his salvation AND was he washed in the blood of Christ and sealed with the Holy Spirit at the time he committed those sins?”

176. In your opinion, is holy living or immorality promoted by the teaching under OSAS that if a formerly saved person commits suicide, he will go to heaven? ___Holy living ___Immorality

Bible defined murderers, yes. (See #26)

From a practical view, yes.

181. Is such a license for immorality? ___Yes ___No
No of course not.

182. If one denies that a particular teaching is a license for immorality, does that mean it is not a license for immorality? ___Yes ___No
No.

183. Is the view that David's sins did not negate his salvation a part of the OSAS doctrine? ___Yes ___No
In many cases, yes.

184. Sometimes some of the more moderate OSAS proponents unwittingly imply that David was never really saved, since he committed sins of adultery and murder. ___True ___False

No. The Bible says he went to “his own place” (Acts 1:25). If he had gone to hell would it have been because of suicide? No.

Can a devil be saved (John 6:70)?

196. Since Judas was once saved, but afterwards betrayed Jesus and went to hell after his death, can OSAS be true, since it only takes one Scriptural example of a person ever saved who later becomes unsaved to disprove OSAS? ___Yes ___No
Judas was not saved.

197. Is one a murderer by a single act of murder (Num. 35:16)? ___Yes ___No
Yes, just as one lie makes one a liar!

198. Is there a disclaimer clause for a person previously saved in Num. 35:16 or anywhere else in Scripture? ___Yes ___No
Yes. (See #26) If a Christian or an unsaved man commits murder, he is to be put to death.

(See #128)

200. Totally unlike in the natural, when a person gets saved he changes his spiritual family and ceases being a child of the devil. In light of this truth, is it safe to reason from the natural to the spiritual as frequently done by OSAS proponents? ___Yes ___No
What are you talking about?

201. The Apostle Paul wrote: "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ" (Col. 2:8). Can it be misleading, then, to reason from the principles of this world such as is frequently done by OSAS teachers? ___Yes ___No
See answer to #200.

202. If "once a son always a son" was Scripturally sound, then would it be impossible to get saved, since all unsaved people are sons of the evil one (Mt. 13:38)? ___Yes ___No
That is ridiculous logic. Must a born again believer, be born again and again and again (John 3:7) even though he is born of INCORRUPTIBLE SEED (1 Peter 1:23)? Must one who is “dead to sin” (present tense) die again and again (Rom 6:2,11). Have you ever heard of the doctrine of adoption?

Truth.

205. The Apostle John wrote, "This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother" (1 Jn. 3:10). Sometimes, yes.

206. Is there observable evidence of saving grace (Acts 11:23)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

207. If one accepts OSAS, is this ability to know one's spiritual family through behavior denied by the OSAS carnal Christian teaching that a carnal Christian lives indistinguishably from a lost person? ___Yes ___No
No.

208. Since 1 Jn. 3:10 (and other verses) teach that we can know if one is saved or not by one's behavior, but this is flatly denied by OSAS teaching, is it possible for OSAS to be from the same spiritual source as 1 Jn. 3:10 and these other Scriptures? ___Yes ___No
This is ridiculous.

209. The very first message taught after Adam's creation was that we will not die spiritually through sin (Gen. 3:4). The original teacher of this type of message is ___God ___The devil
The serpent.

210. Soon after Eve heard that first message on OSAS, did she sin? ___Yes ___No
This was not a message on OSAS, this was a message on eating fruit on a tree. (See also answer to #215)

Eve didn’t die spiritually until she ate the fruit.

Yes.

215. Did God give his warning in Gen. 2:17 to a real son of God? ___Yes ___No
Yes. Was Adam saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ? No. Was Adam saved at all? No. He had no need to be saved. He had never been lost and he had never been dead in trespasses and sins.

216. Was that same warning hypothetical or was it cited in reference to a very real danger that could occur? ___Hypothetical ___Very real danger
In danger.

217. If one accepts the teaching today that a Christian can't die spiritually through sin, is he dangerously deceived as Eve was immediately before she died spiritually? ___Yes ___No
No. These were two totally different events.

218. Did Adam also die spiritually when he sinned (Gen. 2:17)? ___Yes ___No
Yes.

219. Can a son of God die spiritually through sin, according to Scripture? ___Yes ___No
Not a New Testament son of God washed in the blood of Christ.

220. Since the devil, our spiritual enemy, was so successful with the type of message as recorded in Gen. 3:4, does it make sense he would still be using it today to destroy souls? ___Yes ___No
See #217

Yes.

226. Is it safer and better to believe in a false security or the disturbing truth? ___False security ___Disturbing truth
Truth.

227. Paul asked a question about grace, then answered it. He wrote, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! . . ." (Rom. 6:1,2, NKJV). For OSAS proponents to cite this passage to downplay the seriousness of sin or to teach that grace allows for continuous sin is a gross distortion of the word of God. ___True ___False
False. You don’t know how to read (Even your corrupt version!!!).

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”

Mr. Corner again fails to read the context. This is a GREAT verse for eternal security!

228. Rom. 5:5 states God poured out his love into a Christian's heart, but can sin make love grow cold (Mt. 24:12,13)? ___Yes ___No
Romans 5:5 and Matt 24:12-13 have nothing to do with each other.

We, as in born again Christians in the Church Age, no.

No.

231. Does OSAS teaching result in some strange interpretations of Scripture that can't possibly be correct? ___Yes ___No
The same could be said for your heretical teaching.

232. Can you understand why many Christians, who firmly believe we are saved at the moment of a trusting and submitting faith in Jesus Christ, do not believe in OSAS and openly speak out against it for the sake of truth and souls? ___Yes ___No
Yes. You do not rightly divide (or divide at all for that matter).

233. Are you such a Christian? ___Yes ___No
No.
